Advising Syllabus

What is an Advising Syllabus?

The syllabus is a tool that allows our office to outline the shared responsibilities and experiences for our advisees. It is similar to a class syllabus and uses many of the same headings.

Why an Advising Syllabus?

The syllabus allows us to communicate shared responsibilities and important information regarding advising to our students. The syllabus is consistent with the mission of Texas State and the mission of the McCoy College.

How can a student use the syllabus?

Think of the syllabus as a guide to our services. It contains valuable information to assure that your undergraduate experience is smooth and that you are well-informed.
